“We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on the difficulties.” ― Oswald Chambers

FROM THE DESK OF: the Director of Communications

This week we have returned to semi-normalcy at the office. Most of our events have come and gone, so we are back to our regularly scheduled programming. We’re still not at full strength (we’re down one development officer) so the staff continues to double up, wearing multiple hats (per usual); we’re glad to move beyond event planning for a while. The interns keep claiming to have to “go to class” and “study for a test.” Sure. I know what that means. They’re not much help. Anyhow, its November. When did that happen? Thanksgiving is 3 weeks away! Christmas is 49 days away!

We’re cranking out some cool content these days. We have some ideas that are provocative and prophetic. We work in pretty dark places with some pretty jacked up stuff, so we want to theologically clarify why we do what we do. Stay tuned for more on our #prayforterrorists and #dohardstuff campaigns!

For the Win[dow],

VERSE OF THE WEEK: Philippians 2:5-11

"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God,
Did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
But made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant,
Being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself and became obedient to death --
Even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place
And gave Him the name that is above every name,
That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow,
In heaven and on earth and under the earth,
And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
To the glory of God the Father."

COUNTRY OF THE WEEK: THAILAND

The Kingdom of Thailand, formerly Siam, is a south Asian country bordered by Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Gulf of Thailand, and the Andaman Sea. With a population of 67 million people, Thailand ranks as the world's 20th-most-populous country; major exports include Thai rice, textiles, and fishery products. Known as the "land of the free" and "the land of smiles," Thailand is 84% Buddhist, with a small percentage of both Muslims and Christians. The Joshua Project states an unreached Thai population of 66 million, spread throughout 83 people groups. Pray for the power of the Gospel to break strongholds of Buddhism, spiritism, the occult, and the sex trade; pray also for Thai people to read the Bible and other literature available in their language.
